'Knives Out' Sequel Will Arrive in Theaters Thanksgiving Week

Netflix has announced that Glass Onion will be shown in theaters in late November ahead of its release on the streaming service on Dec. 23.

The sequel to 2019’s Knives Out will be shown for one week between Nov. 23 and Nov. 29, Netflix said Thursday, at AMC, Regal and Cinemark. Glass Onion is “the first-ever Netflix film to debut across all three major US theatrical chains,” according to the streaming giant.

It’ll also be shown in theaters in Canada, Australia, the UK, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Spain, Israel and New Zealand.

The only returning actor from the original movie is Daniel Craig as detective Benoit Blanc, who will be joined on a billionaire’s estate in the Greek islands by Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Edward Norton, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Kate Hudson and Dave Bautista. They’ll play characters spanning from governors and scientists to fashion designers and influencers.

This second Knives Out film will be directed by Rian Johnson, who also directed the first one.
